Get an API key
The key is free and issued immediately. You need it to retrieve data from the API, and it gives read access to publishable catalogue data, images and IIIF. It lasts 180 days and can be renewed.

This is the only time the key is shown. Store it now — it cannot be retrieved again. If you lose it, register again.

Already have a key to renew?
Renewal is a new acceptance of the current terms, and gives 180 new days from today. Your key does not change.
